about

“Look, here comes the Irish Mafia…” -DG, chair of the university music department, circa 2009, speaking to professor KJI in reference to the impending arrival at the end of the hallway of two pasty late-teenaged kids wielding a trumpet and tenor saxophone and undoubtedly talking jovially, and probably too loudly, about some discernably thought-provoking topic, like the latest 18-wheeler joyriding escapade they had completed in GTA San Andreas on the small television set in RP’s dorm room across campus or what obscenely-large KFC or Taco Bell or Soho Pizza or Bagelman or McDonald’s or Panera Bread or Duchess meal they’d inevitably be scarfing down for dinner after the rehearsal to which they were headed, as they clomped down said carpet-clad, fluorescently glowing-yet-somehow-always-dark-and-mildly-gloomy hallway on the first-floor, parking-lot side of White Hall’s square layout surrounding the auditorium and stage.
